G'day mates!
Nothing too exciting has been going on in my life but the typical waking up early and going to class. I figured I'd just fill you all in with the little things that have been going on since Sunday. Yesterday, March 10, 2014 I was on campus all day and ended with a 3 hour class with my 3 roommates and a couple other friends from our apartment complex, we love this class. Its a class about culture and sports in Australia! After class we went to Kmart to buy a pool for our terrace. Yes, we bought a 10 foot pool to blow up and station on our terrace so when we get hot tanning we can hop right in. Don't worry, we are allowed to have one. We have drains on the balcony and it won't be filled up all the way, just used as a little cooling off device. After that adventure, I wrote my two 500 word essays due Friday, I wanted to be on top of the game and have no work this weekend. A couple of our friends came over last night to hang out and we made wedges and sweet chili sauce (an Australian typical appetizer). We made two huge party bags of wedges, I'm not sure if we're all secretly fat or were just starved. I think it was more the first one hehehee! This morning, March 11, 2014, I woke up almost 3 hours before my 10:20 alarm and decided to eat breakfast since I couldn't fall back asleep. Luckily enough, Kelley was awake too so we decided to put together the pool and start to fill it up. Shortly after we started Nicole and Rachel awoke from their slumber and made breakfast and helped. I didn't have class until noon today so I just hung around until walking to campus. Between my two classes of the day Nicole and I met up for lunch at the Manning House. I was not hungry so I didn't eat, we explored campus and laughed a lot. After going to the book store after my last class of the day I came home and did some Spanish homework (easy!). Here I am relaxing on the couch until I make some dinner, probably the typical chicken and vegetables, and continuing to relax because I have an 8 am tomorrow. YAY tomorrow is my last day of classes for the week, I can live with 3 days of class a week, its wonderful. Kelley tonight has a job trial at a local bar as a bartender so we are sending her our support that she gets it! Minimum wage here is $20 and not needing to have any bartending experience and just an RSA Kelley could be making over $25/hour a weekend by serving only simple mixed drinks since the bar is more of a backpackers/beer bar. We all hope she gets the job, we're all keeping our fingers crossed! Well thats about as exciting as my life has been but don't worry this weekend I will definitely do something worth a great laughable blog post..maybe eat some more vegemite and upload a video??? HA JOKES! never again. Well love you all and can't wait to FaceTime more of you :-*
