Hi!
It's been quite a while since I've updated you on my life so here I am about to spill the beans about the past couple days of life in Sydney. Yesterday Friday March 14, 2014 Nicole and I had big plans to wake up early and go see the sun rise on Bondi Beach but when the alarm went off at 5:15 we bailed on that idea, although we still managed to get up at 8:15 to go to the beach. We were on the beach laying out by 9:30. Eventually Allie, Drey and Kelley came for a great beach day. The sun was shining and the water was clear, life can't get much better on Fridays. Friday is always our beach day. We left the beach early because in my sports and culture class we had a field trip that night. While getting ready for our field trip and making dinner we had an unexpected knock on our door. Finally the blinds guy came to our room to fix the blinds, though we thought. He actually decided to take down our blinds, why? I will never know. Weirdly enough, soon after he left with all his tools and our blinds, we received a phone call from the front desk asking for him because he went MIA. Who would've thought we'd have field trips in college?! We as a class attended a soccer game between Sydney FC and Brisbane. The stadium wasn't that filled so we were able to sit in front row. It was a great way to spend our Friday night probably because our best friend Bill was with us (HAHA). After the game the girls and I went home and had a feast. We hadn't eaten in several hours so we made wedges and sweet chili sauce and chips and salsa, the healthiest thing we've could've made, I know. This morning, Saturday March 15, 2014, Nicole and I woke up at the crack of dawn because of the sun. Since the man left with out curtains our room just has windows and the sun shines way before I want to be up. Grrrr. Since the sun was shining I put my bathing suit on and tanned on the balcony with the girls. We did some spring cleaning today because it started to get cloudy but we did figure out how to work the speakers finally! We plan on having a relaxing day/night in today because of the early wake up call we have for tomorrow. Tomorrow is the St. Patty's Day parade and I cannot wait. We planned a brunch with the girls before going to the parade. Not quite sure what I will be wearing yet seeing as how I didn't find anything but striped green socks, which I bought. Other than that today we are just going to grocery shop and maybe bake a cake with a nap sometime in the afternoon. I literally am loving life down in Australia, I wish you all could come visit!
PS. I made Oxy Ox sauce and found that it tastes amazing with sautéed onions and grilled cheese!
