Surprise Inspection!

Hi!

Yesterday, March 8, 2014, was a pretty relaxing day in Unit 103. As usual, my roommates and I woke up early, sigh. Nicole had plans to go to Future Music Festival, a rave, so her and Samm left around 10ish to go get ready and head over to the venue. Since it was just Kelley and I left in the apartment we decided to have a relaxing day and tan on the balcony. Christian, the TEAN head supervisor of my apartment building, informed us that the cleaning people will be arriving around 11 and we will have an inspection around 2-3. We received a note under our door that morning saying our inspection was moved to Monday so we were excited that we could tan and hang around the house. After cooking ourselves lunch (salads) we continued our tanning session. Next thing we know, some man is walking into our apartment with a lot of Asian people giving a house tour! The inspection Christian told us about is completely different than the one on Monday. We expected maintenance men and tools but instead we got a real estate agent and real estate hunters. There Kelley and I are in our bikinis on the balcony while a tour is being given. Awkward to say the least. They asked us several questions but the one the most asked was "Are your neighbors above you Chinese?". Like lets be serious, I have never even seen my next door neighbors and we have connecting balconies do you really think I'll know if the people who live above me are Chinese? After that awkward encounter half-naked Kelley's friend arrived because they had plans to go to the Bruno Mars concert that night. Since I was the only one left in the apartment I decided to have a night on the town with my neighbors, Alli and Drey, Sammi and Liz came too. We went to a bar/club called Argyle it was really fun! After Argyle Sammi and I ended up at Pancakes On The Rocks. The pancakes were to die for and so delicious. Unfortunately, I got home awfully late and had a very early wake up call today, March 9, 2014, to go to Bondi Beach for a class of mine. I'm taking a class on Australia's sports and culture (with Kelley and Rachel my roommates) and today we headed to Bondi Beach to learn about all different water sports, sub cultures of Australia and more about the Life Saviors. It was death. First, I show up to Bondi not knowing what the teacher looks like and have to find him in a crowded beach filled with almost 3,000+ people. As soon as Kelley and I found him he handed over a packet and told us to fill it out. The questions were near impossible and had no idea how to answer them. One, it was 9 am. Two, I was on the beach doing work instead of tanning and three, I didn't get much sleep. Needless to say, Kelley and I were both a bit grumpy. As soon as we made it back to Bondi Junction to catch the train home to Central my day turned upside down. We sprinted home to make lunch, I had grilled cheese with hot sauce, of course, I put my bathing suit on and went on the balcony to tan. Tanning can turn your day around and put a smile on my face! Here I am on a Sunday afternoon relaxing and thinking of what to make for dinner. Tonight I will organize all my stuff for class tomorrow and just have a relaxing night with the girls. I plan on going to bed awfully early and sleeping in as late as I can tomorrow...probably until 730, yay! Lucky for me, switching classes now means I only have 3 days of class a week, woohoo! Well I love you all so much and miss you guys!
