One Big Happy 103 Family

Hello World!

Yesterday, March 12, 2014, I woke up in the morning bright and early for my 8 am lecture to an unexpected surprise. As tired me wandered to the freezer to take out bread to make toast I realized our food has melted, the toaster doesn't work and the stove burners won't light. I panicked. No one was awake to investigate the problem with me, thats when I knew I had to become better of an electrician than all of Rick's students and solve the problem. I walked over to the power box with all the switches and switched the switch that was down to up. Magically, all the appliances starting working again (my assumption is something blew the fuse). I hope I got a 100 on that test, Rick. Since my bread wasn't frozen anymore and I didn't want to let all the cold air escape the fridge and freezer I had the store brand Honey Smacks cereal for breakfast with no milk of course. Then I headed off to class. Walked the 1.4km to my building and waited for others to arrive before entering the classroom. After my 2 hour lecture and 1 hour tutorial I had a 3 hour gap before my next class. I decided to stay on campus and do some homework before the weekend so it'd be all done (bad decision was super bored). Luckily enough for me my class at 2pm (Spanish) is my last class of the week! I could really get use to the 3 day class, 4 day weekend thing. Sprinting home after class, not because its the weekend but because I can finally make myself dinner. For dinner I cooked broccoli and chicken alfredo pasta, mmm I'm quite the chef these days! The girls and I decided to head out all together last night, we had such a great time. Nicole, Kelley, Rachel, Samm, Sami, Allie, Drey, Justin and I took the train together over to Edgecliff and go to Golden Sheaf. A lot of our friends from Bondi Junction attended too. It was good to see everyone from orientation and Cairns. On the way to Golden Sheaf we decided to plan a little Mexican fiesta later this weekend. Each person will bring a dish/addition to our chipotle styled meal. We want tacos and quesadillas and corn and jalepenos and rice and guacamole and more. We want to make our own just like Chipotle! We've been looking forward to this since we've moved in and we can't wait for it to happen. On the other hand, we received good news yesterday. Christian, the TEAN leader, stopped by and informed us that we are getting a new microwave on Friday, new furniture on Monday, our curtain will be fixed ASAP as well as our leaky shower all while delivering a new toaster to us. Today, March 13, 2014, is a rainy gloomy day but that won't stop us. Nicole has class from 1-2 and then we (Kelley, Nicole and I) want to go to the market to look at potential clothes for St Patty's Day. There's a parade on Sunday, woohoo! After the market we might head to Bondi to shop at the beach stores or just to Sydney's Westfield Mall. Today is going to be filled with girl time and shopping. I hope everything at home is all good, I miss you all so much. Love you lots!
